MARK HEATHCLIFF

mark is our first victim in the series (yay!), also being the main protagonist in arc 1/ posthumous character in arc 2.

considering personal life he was extremely paranoid and religious (likely due to surviving so many alternate encounters as a child)
which put him at extreme risk of MAD. Mark was also the older brother to the goat Sarah Heathcliff, with the two of them having a VERY
close relationship. obviously theyre siblings.

speaking of close relationships, its implied that Mark was a 'heterosexual life partner' with Cesar off the basis that Mark had keys to his
house and was willing to go out during the alternate outbreak for him. However, in contradiction, Mark was also terrified of Cesar's house (???)

As you can tell, mark is DEAD. technically. Kister has stated that he and cesar are actually alive and trying to find eachother, but this has
likely been retconned.
Mark's death was suicide by MAD- He had unknowingly brough Cesar's alternate home, who would trap him in his room for days on end (usually people
with MAD succumb within hours so go off king). Eventually, after days of torment and prayer, Mark confronts "Cesar" and ends up shooting himself.
his body isn't found until days later by Thatcher from a school wellness check, and Im STILL a believer of the richochet theory yes yes

CESAR TORRES

Cesar is the second victim, and unlike Mark, doesn't serve much of a purpose in act 1 (Apart from serving as the "tumblr sexyman" esque character for all the FFFREEAKS. and being 1/3 of the POC characters).

Since we never met the real Cesar we literally know next to nothing about this guy apart that hes hispanic and was quite close to Mark (cough cough
heterosexual life partners). However, we don't actually know how they met, so people just assume they met at church. Aditionally, the final thing we know
is that Cesar's family were quite rich, which was revealed in a now scrapped script.

much like his friend, Cesar is also DEAD! yay! we aren't sure exactly how he was killed, but regardless he was replaced by an alaternate that would
then kill his mother- Then using said mother as bait to lure Mark out of his house. Also, Cesar is the only alternate who has a wanted poster, as seen
in volume 3.
